First I want to thank you for stopping by, leave me a comment so I know you were here!
My name is Melissa, and I live in Beautiful Southern California, in a small town in the High Desert. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. I married my high school sweetheart and we have 3 dirty, smart, clever, rambunctious little boys.
I love doing this blogging thing... It gives me the motivation to keep up with my creations in my head, and get them done so I can document it. (The cog wheels are turning, even while I sleep)
I also love the photography part of it. I love stepping behind the camera and thinking how do I want to remember this very moment later on. I know I am a super novice at the whole game. But learn as you go right!?

I love my hubby and kids. But I don't love how they create a gi-normous (is that even a word) mess each and everyday in a room I try to keep semi-clean. But that is part of the fun about decorating and creating I guess, you get to start over all the time, and have an excuse for why the room needed to be changed or rearranged.

I used to change and re-arrange my bedroom from the time I was a little girl. My father, who liked everything neat and prestine, would get so frustrated with me. Yet my mother, who is my original crafty inspirational person, would quietly encourage me...
And then there is my hubby. Who doesn't really care how something is decorated, just as long as it is functional in his everyday life. If he can see the T.V. and get to the bed and toilet, he let's me do whatever I want. I guess I'm pretty blessed that he let's me do as I please to the house.

All in all, I like to do things myself and in my own way. I like things looking old and weatherd. Distressed and used. Worn out and chippy. And yet... at the same time I also like the look of new things. So my style is something old with something new. Old is new again!
That's my story and I'm sticking to it... :)

LOL! I wish my boys were more crafty... they are just not into the whole crafty thing. Its like pulling teeth just to get them to paint a simple picture for me.
